Shift **** question

I was thinking about changing out my old stock **** for a newer style one, such as the new Mustang GT *****. I was wondering if it will fit and how to go about changing it. Thanks

they are splined & glued on. But I've heard stories of folks shifting their truck real hard in hot weather and the **** just coming off. Best bet is to get a hurst and then put on a stang gt ****. std to metric conversion dealie thread converter. lol.

yeah you can't remove the shift **** , i tried . basicaly there are two choices . You either get a hurst shifter or an fx4 shifter . The fx4 is what i got and i love it but i got it for free . The hursts will give u improved perfomance , shorter throw, good price ,feedback to hand etc , but it also comes with more interior noise and there is a slight possiblity of tranny fluid leaking onto the carpet if a gasket wears out ... fx4 shifter is alot more money and doesn't shorten the throw. the benefit is looks great , more comfort, and more feedback from the trans to your hand. the downside is SLIGHTLY more noise , less then the hurst though, and no short precision throws.
