What year Expo's had silver HVAC Controls?

Went to the only still functioning junkyard around me today and asked if they had a silver HVAC control panel from an Explorer. The owner will not let me, some little punk kid, into his precious yard (like I am some criminal who only wants to destroy everything he owns). Instead i have to track down the exact vehicle the Panel comes from, and he will run it through his computer and see what he has...

Rant over.

So... Bottom line... The yard has no Sport Tracs. What year expo's have the silver HVAC controls? Trim level if you know? And while we are on the topic of Expo's in the junkyard, how much rear lift can be gotten from Expo leafs. Thanks for any info.

So far:
2001 Explorer

I hate yards like that. It's not you, it's just their policy. Too many people get hurt in JY's and sue them.

He lets some people on the yard. I would gladly sign a waiver or whatever saying he is neither financially nor legally responsible if i get hurt... the vehicles there are stably placed, no stacking or anything... if i got hurt it WOULD be my fault, no way around it. The only other yard around recently crushed 90% of its vehicles and has one Ranger and one B-series. Only Ranger-based vehicles i saw.

That sucks. Its just a way lots of yards operate these days. Everything is inventoried, so they only want their people pulling parts.

Another reason for that is to keep people from stealing. We only have 1 JY down here that will let you back into the yard. The other 3 closes down or went to the tell us what you want and we will pull it.

Just get them off of ebay. Still pretty cheap IMO and no hassle with hunting down a Sport Trac in a JY.

Ebay: Sport Trac Silver HVAC

Well yeah, cuz if you steal stuff that's inventoried and they go out to look for the parts and see its gone, well then that defeats the purpose of the inventory program.

I know the owner of the one down here and he says mexicans will stuff there pockets and toolboxes with parts. If it wont fit in there they will throw them over the fence.
