problem

trying to change the clutch plate and slave cylinder on my 1987 ranger. can't get the slave hose off the master to drop the trany. any help would be great. if anyone has a pdf file for the repair manual that would also help. so as it sits the only thing stoping me is that stupid plastic line and i don't know if the new one comes with one or i would just cut it and install the new line.

If I remember right , just push in on the white piece on the end toward the master cyl , while pushing the hose toward the slave.
It works similar to the fuel line connections.
Hope that makes sense .

thanks, turns out that system is used on the newer models. just like the fuel line disconects. found the answer, there is a metal clip (like a hitch pin clip) on the top of the bell housing, right where the slave hose and bleeder are located. you pull that clip out, then carefully pull the hose up. it was so simple, no wonder i had a hard time with it. but the whole thing is done now.
