Purple Ice

Any of you use this? Is it worth using?

Why? Is your truck over-heating?
I ran "engine ice" in my supermoto, because it had a tiny radiator and heated up a lot at stop lights in the summer.

No. Not overheating. Just thought I would add it when I do my coolant change if it would be worth doing.

I added Redline Water Wetter when I changed the coolant out. I can't say the truck runs cooler because I did switch to lower temp 180 degree thermostat. I will say that most of the time the temp never goes above 175 and it only climbs to 180 on a very hot day with the a/c running.

If you lived in a hotter state I'd think about it, thats only after an e-fan install.

Have tried that and water wetter... didn't do crap. Truck runs at 190* regardless of what miracle juice is in the radiator.

I never understood why people run thermostats that keep their cars colder than they are designed to run at. Buuuut whatever.

AC works better. Lower underhood temps. Engines are purposely run hotter so their emissions are lower.
