Question about #1 T-bars
Ok, I started thinking about T-bars and I realized I've never looked to see which ones I have, well I have the B bars.
Now with my bumper and skid plate up front there is, well we'll just say a little extra weight up there, so it sags about an inch to inch and half with everthing on. Now my question is, If I get #1 bars would it hold the weight up better and keep it from sagging down as much or would it just be a waste? I really like the look when the bumper is off, because it sits up like I want it but after the bumper is on it sags, and I would like it to be level. Thx for the help |

no one likes you ;)
are they heaveir rated? the person u wanna talk to is the guy with the winch on the front of his ranger |
they are stiffer so it should be able to take the weight better.
I have some #1 bars that i got when i put the camburg kit on, but I think i'm going to take them off. If you're interested i'll look into shipping |
Yeah, I might be. But shipping might be my enemy on this one since I can get some brand new ones from the factory for 37 a piece.

Damn, Yeah I guess that thread I saw the price was a couple years old.

So nobody with a winch has upgraded their t-bars?

When I had the winch mounted on mine with the bars cranked just enough to level it out after the superlift I had no sagging and I have the highest rated bars on mine.
|
I have them on mine. I gained a full inch out of them from my saggy stock bars. It rides way rougher, but I don't really mind it too much.
|
I have the stock bars with a heavy front skid plate and the winch and it did drop down a bit but its still level. It might have been up a little in the front before the winch and skid plate. But for the price of the higher rated bars I would go for em if yours is sagging and u dont mind the rougher ride.

If you've added 300lbs or more.. 1=rated bars should be fine.

It is probably pushing 200

Level II's are the heaviest of Rangers and they come from the factory with #1 bars. However, some non Level II 4x4s also come with #1's - it depends on option content. So it is not unreasonable to run them on your 4x4 Supercab, especially with the extra weight hung on the front end.
|
Yeah I was guessing that I had #1's before I looked since it is 4x4 supercab with a 4.0, but I guess not. I'm thinking this is going to be my next mod. I'll probably put them in when I go home for Thanksgiving unless I get the itch to put them in, in my apt parking lot before then.
