Towing...

I want to know if i could safely trailer a 2500lbs car with my truck. IDC if somebody you know just trailered 50 million tons with his ranger... i wanna be safe. Precious cargo you know...I know just driving my truck you gotta leave a lot of room for braking with bigger tires but i would worried about stopping at all cuz the trailer wouldn't have brakes. I would also be afraid of hitting a bump and flying off the road. What do you guys think?

I towed my 3500lb boat to Tenn and back last summer. I'd suggest just checking all the fluids, running 89+ octane, and don't let the TQ convertor kick in and out when in 5th. (if it does down shift into 4th)

Otherwise just use your head about stopping and following distances.

I wouldn't even think twice about it. That load is half of what our trucks are rated at.

A zero-gravity trailer . . .

Like said, stopping will be your foremost challenge, although do-able. Also like said, keep the trans from jumping gears and pulsing the throttle. Guessing the trailer weighs about 1800lb+ you're close to the safe towing capacity of a Ranger so you'll need to take it easy. Be cautious and you should be fine.

i've towed my 3500 lb grand prix with no problems.

idk how much the trailer weighed, but it did fine.

just be careful on stopping.

From the 2003 Ford trailer towing guide I have...

4x4 Super Cab 4.0 automatic: 5,280 lbs. max. trailer weight
4x4 Super Cab 4.0 manual: 3,120 lbs. max. trailer weight

The low numbers for the manual transmission are apparently to keep people from destroying the clutch under warranty.

Keep in mind though, those numbers are for a stock truck. I'm not sure how your tires would impact those capacities.
