doubletime blinker

soo i just noticed that my left blinker goes twice as fast, also does not work in rear. its on the charger now, 2 amp overnight, so hopefully the battery just needs to be charged. anything else cause this? most of my car rides are short so maybe the battery just doesnt get enough time to charge back up. its just a 2 minute trip to school every day. but yea its pissin me off. help. lol.

It blinks fast because the bulb is out not because it needs to be charged.

if it don't work "in back" and it bilnks in "doubletime" Then I would be willing to bet your just low on signal fluid. Grab a quart of it top it off and you should be fine.

Your turn signal bulb is bad or you have an electrical related problem causing it not to work.

Just wish I could be at the auto parts store when someone asked for it. That would be not only a Kodak moment but a great Mastercard commercial

okay bulbs are fine. must be a relay or something electrical. there should be a turnsignal box or something to that effect maybe by the fuse box or by the solenoid. any ideas on that?

Its either the bulbs or the signal relay, its under the dash behind a black cover. Looks like a relay

okay thanks, the only thing that puzzled me was i took the rear bulb out, nothing different and wen i took the front one out the turn signal click was replaced by this buzzing noise. almost seems like a ground problem now.

the rear bulb is burnt out, replace it with a new one, the flasher (or as it was referred to as "relay") is not bad because if it was, you'd have a problem on both sides. i doubt your truck has a SJB, but just to be safe, after you change the bulb, turn the key off and then back on to test the signal again.

Oh my god. The back bulb is burned out. Put a new one in for $1.25 and move on with life. This is not complicated.
