Ranger with superlift

Hey i have a 1999 4.0 with the super lift and 33 inch tires.

my problem- My front tires, the tops of thm are starting to "bow" in. Why? I had a buddy with the same year and lift and he had the same problem. Is this common with the superlift on rangers?

Thanks!

no its aligned. I just had it aligned. what are adjustable cams? Has anyone else with a superlift had this problem? Does cranking your torsion bars make them bow in?

I'm running a superlift 4" suspension and don't have any problems at all. Wait a minute, torsion bars, you mean this is 2wd?

98+'s come with torsion bars on the 4wd also and superlift does not make a 2wd lift for the rangers

The superlift kit comes with cam washers(i believe). And should be installed if needed. My truck is darn near right on w/o the cam washers. But.....as said in other threads, alignment shops want seriously like $100 for cam bolts....so they'll align it as best as they can w/o telling you about the cam bolt option to get it perfect. That is your issue....your upper control arms are sucked in too much.

Sure....maybe you just got it aligned.....aka aligned as best as they could without doing cam bolts.....

Cranking torsion bars have nothing to do with the UCA being improperly lined up.

yeah I think that is my problem becuase me and my buddy both had our rangers lifted at the same shop... and needless to say im not to fond of them anymore. So I get these cam washers and where exactly do they go in? They push out the upper control arms? When I get home from work ill post up a picture to show exactly what I am talking about.

What I posted is what you need I do believe....as i'm gonna run them on my superlift as well. You need 2 total sets. They sell in pairs. They replace the upper control arm mounting bolts/washers. There's two bolts per arm...so you'll need 2 pairs.

best pic that i found fastlike. lol.

My truck did this same thing and I bought cams from rockauto.com

Now I have perfect alignment and perfect tire wear on my 35's.
