BackRack Light bar Picture request
If you have a backrack, on your truck, please post up close pictures of the way you attacked it.
I am in the process of designing a system for mine so that I can remove it when entering a parking garage... yet also use my tonnuea cover in conjunction with the bar.

I thought about that as well, but unfortunately, getting the tonnaeu cover to fit, with the bar is going to be a poject all in itself. I have yet to see another truck on the road, of any make or model with a backrack bar and a tonnuea cover. Mine will be the first.
I have already figured out how to make the wiring be removeable. I plan to tie the 4 KC's into a 12awg wire, which will attach to an exterior 110v plug, which will 'plug in' to a 110v exterior commercial outlet in the bed. Ofcourse it wont be 110, itll be 12v but it will be removeable yet dependable.

here is a crude idea I have... on the left, is a cross section veiw... the channel, will be permanent. and the bar will sit in that channel and lock in with a series of pins...
on the right, is a veiw from the tail gate looking forward. the two downward pieces will 'sandwich' the back wall of the bed to add lateral support. These will be set in place with stainless steel bolts. and everything under the bed rails will be painted red to match the bed.
on the top of the bed rails, will also be a 'top plate' the will extend back to the stake hole already in the bed. These top plates will also be permanently bolted to the bed. I plan to put a layer of bed liner between the plates and the bed to help prevent rust, and vibration.
With this backrack, I can get a sliding rear window and not worry about anyone breaking into my truck...
