Question on Mazda

I was just wondering if Mazda ever made 4x4 B4000s with colored bumpers (like the dual sport)

Anyone ever seen one that came with factory painted bumpers? If so pictures please lol

Not that I am aware of. I beleive all the B4000's are or have been old as the top of the line models with only 2 option packages, where you either have all the power options or not.

In the case of my 02 and my dad's 08, when he bought them, he opted to not get the power options. Every single B4000 I can ever recall seeing has chrome bumpers with black trim and black fender flares and chrome rear bumpers as well as chrome grilles.

Personally, I like the chrome and black flares, but depending on the colour, I like both the chrome and painted grilles.

The only thing I don't like with the B4000's is those hideous 3 spoke 16" rims, and that is the only wheel choice the 4000 has.

were the 3 spokes an option on the b3000 then? cause by my old house in chico there was an 05 4x4 b3000 with the 3spokes

now for my personal input on this thread

1. if its such a big issue, when you actually find a 4x4 b4000 (which i doubt) why not then go junkyarding till you find a painted bumper off a dual sport

2. get an edge, those also come with painted bumpers

3. buy 99MazdaB4000's truck, hes offered to sell it numerous times ... yes its a 99 and they didnt offer the dual sport till 01 or so but it seems to have everything else youd want, and a few mods to go with it.

I've never seen the 3 spokes on anything other than 4000s. Maybe the one you saw had those wheels installed by the owner? All I ever see on 3000s are the steelies or 15" alloys.

wait...did you just say B3000 4x4? do those even exist??

well i didnt look under it to check for driveshafts but it had the 4x4 switch and it was on the tribars ... ill be in chico in a couple weeks if its still on the lot ill get pics for you. Could be the owner knew a guy like you who didnt like the tribars and swopped em ... meats were pretty good haha

Edit: Just looked and your right, it must have been an 02 or 01 maybe the price had a 5 in it and i got confused ... but yea doesnt look like they offered the b3000 with a 4wd option after 03

i dont even know what years offered 4x4 on what models,so i cant say. i had always assumed the 4000s were always 4x4 only and the 3000 and under were always 2wd.

recheck my edit, looks like 4x4 b3000s were offered till 02

also looked up b4000s, 4wd only became standard in 05, till then you could get a 2wd one

look at some of the older f250s. quite a few of them have the "straight 6" or the inline 6 cylinder

i know the straight 6 is a good engine, but isnt the point of an f250 to pull 5th wheels and such? Dont see a 6cyl fitting the bill

I use to drive a dump truck at work, I think it was a early 80's or late 70's F-600 that had the 300 in line 6. Also had a f-350 dually with the same motor.

They did make B3000 4x4s, not sure the point though lol

Also one more question, was there an option to have all over matching?

example:
colored top rim

black top rim
