Quick hitch question..

hey guys since ive got a body lift, im gona need a new hitch. so i was looking around and i found this..

hitch

is it decent?..im a noob in the hitch world. also i'll keep looking for others, just wanted yer opinions

have yours modified so it will be 3 inches higher, that is what i am doing with mine.

yess this is true...but the towing capasities will be much less than stock was...unless of course you make it very strong and all..brackets that is

pish, you can make it just as strong, the stock hitch can hadle way over what your truck can pull, i really dont think you are gonna have any problems, but it depends on the design and the welds.

I've never heard any complaints about drawtite hitches, but as far as the body lift goes and looks of the hitch, without having one hanging down or modifing one there was a guy on TRS with a green 98-00 ranger with an RCD lift and 3" body who had one of those hitches designed to come out thru the liscense plate on a roll pan and it lined up just about perfect with the bumper, meaning it wasn't hanging too low or too high....

Im sorry for bringin up this freakin ancient thread but does anyone know what the deal was with this hitch? I would like to get something that would work without having to chop mine up and worry about it working right. Anyone know where to get it?

do you know a local welder or have welder experience? i know a guy that can make you some brackets in Newport news he is modifying my step bars for cheap

there is one that a couple guys run. pm ah crap i cant remember his sign on, but he has a reg regular cab with silver hood... the sign on name is on the tip of my fingers but i cant remember. from Nevada or New Mexico?

Oh if I would of known that it was red regular cab I would of gotten that too lol, time to find what hitch he has.

I would imagine that would work with a body lift. It's supposed to raise the hitch up to go behind a roll pan on a non bodylifted truck.
