kbb.com

Does it have any mods? Does it have the hitch already installed? Was it maintained properly? How are the tires?

You could probally be able to talk them down.

id say around 6 without knowing the condition of the truck. cleanliness.

1000lbs is nothing for a ranger. i have pulled around 5000lbs many time.

you will notice the weight but it will pull it fine.

Agreed that 1000 pounds is nothing for a ranger. Also agreed that I've towed 5000 pounds several times, and that's when the Ranger starts to sweat.

The Ranger is a good truck, especially with a 4L and 4wd. Not the best for gas, but it'll work hard all day for you.

the truck is at a lil car lot and it has new tires and looks to be in great condition... no mods straight stock

well i went and took a look at the truck today and i really liked it a lot... it was more comfortable than i was imagining... although there were a few little things wrong with it... the two middle ac ducts were broken where they cant be turned left and right and the power lock button on the driver side doesnt work... i really like this truck but i am still concerned about the size since i will be going from a full size ex. cab truck to a smaller ranger... has anyone made this change and how was it?

I have, I went from a 92 F-150 FlareSide ext. cab to a 2005 Ford Ranger XLT ext. cab, it wasn't too bad, but, it is a lot better on gas and no it can't tow as much but its was worth it in the long run, like they said 1000 lbs ain't nothin for one of these trucks, especially since its a 4.0L.

with a 4 cylinder 2wd ive pulled way more than 1000 lbs so the truck you describe will pull it no problem.. i do however think the truck you describe is over priced by at least $1500
