how many miles are too many?

so, i want a 3" bl and some bigger tires, when my tires go bad. BUT i was wondering. how many miles is too many to be turning those big ole tires. ive got an 01 2wd 3.0 extended cab. it pings under heavy load, but other then that, its a beast. its got roughly 140k miles now. its getting driven ALOT less now tho, since ive got my mustang for the summer, but at say 150k is it still ok to have the 33's and a bl?
thanks

yeah, id need to find a new rear. i went through thet with my mustang. no one does gear installs around here. i ended up buying a used 8.8 with 3.73's for the mustang. ive got the old 2.73 kickin around somewhere tho. ill look into one for the ranger. thanks
EDIT: sweet. i just might. my next vehicle, whenever it may be, might be another ranger, so i could always take it off and swap over.
EDIT aGAIN: whats the biggest tire i can fit onto stock rim?

Yeah you'll be fine running the 31x10.5. Do you have any junkyards around you? You could pick up a 8.8 with 4.10s and easily swap it in your truck. You'd be good to run 33s with that

You could run 44's on your stock rims.

It's all about how wide you are going. I wouldn't go wider than a 12.5 on stock rims.

i was reading that with the rear bumper brackets, the bumper cannot be used for towing. can i leave the bumper stock height in the rear, so can still tow with it, or will that be hideos?
