wow.. 87mph.. seeing that theres millions of thread about speed governors i know everyone on this site has reached that speed..

 

My point exactly... everyone's done it, or close to it, probably in more populated areas. We aren't talking extreme speeds... yeh... street racing is stupid but let's be real about what REALLY happened in this situation... as I said, congrats on showing a chevy who's boss

 

they need to add haulin *** over rough terrain to the definition of a truck

 

i dont see offroading either... yet we all do that

 

We don't all offroad. A trucks PRIMARY design is to haul and tow crap. We just take the truck throw on a few non-factory items and we offroad.

I have street raced many times. Well I did for about two years straight but then I got caught so I stopped. But I will say that most accidents were caused when the cops came. People would dash in every direction. Pure chaos.

You want to talk about speed? 150 MPH plus in my RX7 at 3am. No cars on the road and a really long straight. The car had good tires and it was running well. Oh gee!

 

Hehe.. Or 154 mph in a 98 police interceptor on the i-15 at 2 am.. noone on the road either..

 

People are complaining about 140kph? Pretty sure that's about 10kph above double-lane traffic . . . my 535 turns 1600rpm in 4th at 140kph, in a stock suspension equipped truck (mainly, a light Ranger) that's about as fast as I'd go, mostly for emergency turning/stopping issues but honestly I've seen scarier vehicles cruise faster.

 

i know everyone is trippin dude! 140 aint that fast at all! lol

no more like 135 mph in my probe is more like it and with other cars going that fast.

 

good job ownin that s-10. i race a LITTLE bit on occasion, but usually just up to about 60. (MPH that is) lol EVERYONE HAS RACED SOMEONE B4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

There's always going to be a few exceptions to the crowd. The design im refering to is the manufacturers, what they intended it for.

 

but your forgetting the factory ment for speed trucks, lightning, srt10, SS454, syclone.... and so on.. Dodge R/t.

Congrats on showin the chevy up. all have done 87mph once or twice big deal. i cruise that speed alot. my truck is built to Offroad but does fine at speeds. ive driven cars up to 176mph. thank you Audi RS6. 150+ in modded out GN's. if you wanna go that fast just remember if you cause something its your fault and will have to live or die with that.

I wonder what the top speed rating of our truck tires is? A blowout at 87 mph on pavement is potentially catastrophic!

I will honestly say that I am a fat ***, and I have never gotten my Ranger above 75 MPH. Why? Because I don't want to mess it up. I will admit, I have gone over that in other vehicles, but not my Ranger.
