Rain leaking Issue

Ive got an 03 Ranger that started leaking water. Heres the quirky thing - I have a fairly steep driveway and when I park the truck nose uphill and it rains I get water collecting below the jump seat drivers side. But, if I park facing downhill no leaks. I read that 3rd brakelight/moulding is a common culprit so I gorilla taped all around it but no success. I had the windshield replaced last summer but the leaking is a recent issue. Anyone have any thoughts as to next steps?

Welcome to the forum

I would suspect the windshield since it was replaced and then the leaking started
And the uphill downhill thing would also point to windshield

Windshield sits on a ridge around a trough, the glass is sealed to that ridge, and the trough fills with water, and it can rust out in the lower corners of the trough, but more likely a failed seal
When you park facing uphill the water will fill up the trough and then flows passed a bad seal and into the cab, when parked downhill the water will run out away from the ridge and seal
If it was rusted out then it would leak either way

There should be a warranty on the glass replacement, what can happen is that some of the old sealant wasn't removed and when the new sealant and glass was installed it left a small hole between ridge and glass
They can pull off the new windshield and clean off the ridge, they will see where it was leaking, then reinstall the glass with new sealant
