Ciaran 06-03-2009 09:57 AM

kyle12201 06-03-2009 09:58 AM

JaxRanger 06-03-2009 10:02 AM

Jazz921 06-03-2009 10:06 AM

I was going to go to Mexico and get one of those Rangers but getting parts was gonna be a bear.

JaxRanger 06-03-2009 10:17 AM

Wait ... you can go to mexico and get one and bring it back here no problem? do they have the turbo diesels?

No you cannot. I do believe I looked into this a year ago. They do have a 2.5 and 3.0 Powerstroke I think there. The guy on here from Costa Rica I think said he has a 2.8, so more research needed there. But the emission and taxes are such a bear it is not worth the cost and hassle.

annguyen1981 06-03-2009 10:25 AM

LMAO. That was freaking awesome.

The second video of the Ranger getting air time... what an idiot.

JaxRanger 06-03-2009 10:29 AM

hmmm thats really unfortunate ... and as far as emissions... I live in Florida... we know no emissions laws! haha and I bet they get good MPGs???

So why not bring em over here since theres this big push for high mileage vehicles by 2016?

PlasticHero 06-03-2009 10:30 AM

To that guy that launched the ranger....dumbass...and thats what full face helmets, saftey harnesses and roll cages are for.

shadow905 06-03-2009 10:30 AM

haha thats hilarious

rideabikenick 06-03-2009 11:07 AM

It isn't a FL thing, b/c I too live in FL. It is an EPA/federal thing...much bigger deal.

Jazz921 06-03-2009 01:08 PM

I checked with the local BMV here in Indiana and they said I could bring one in from Mexico and license it here. Might be different from one state to the next., that or I got the dumbass on duty at the time LOL.

JaxRanger 06-03-2009 03:46 PM

Im gonna do some research into this... I would love to have one over here... but yea a lot of ppl at the DMV are DumAsses! and lazy... no offense to anyone

robert99ranger 06-03-2009 03:52 PM

I would love to have one of those Powerstroke Rangers. I wonder what they get mpg? I hate going to the BMV cause I always get the same dumb ***** that likes to give you crap about everything for no reason that doesnt know what the hell she is talking about.

Bentley 06-03-2009 06:11 PM

that was funny.

BCobe 06-03-2009 06:19 PM

Lol poor rooster

Melt 06-03-2009 10:09 PM

when you bring a car from another country its considered a "grey market import" ..... a lot of times if you can swing it its possible to have the dmv title it as an xcab for example.

offroadn_redneck 06-03-2009 10:14 PM

Heck, I live so close to mexico as it is. I dont think it would be that hard to get one and bring it back. I would so rock that PSD in it!

Melt 06-03-2009 10:17 PM

bringing it back isnt the problem

title and registration is.

the only other way i can think to get around this is in california the law for bringing a car in from another state if youre a resident, a stipulation is if your car gets stolen / wrecked while out of state and you need to replace it

you would think they would allow you to bring a vehicle from mexico if you were deep in the interior and your vehicle got messed up
