the ranger did me good today
i know alot of you guys are going to bash me for this, but i just drove 3 hrs one way with a trailer full of mud to pick up a truck bed for my buddy's s10.
and i could tell it was back there on the take offs, but it cruised at 70mpg just fine and didnt even really knew it was back there for the most part.
when i picked the trailer up friday after work it was full of dirt and my buddy was suppose to be there before me to clean it out but he was stuck in traffic an hour away and i had to get the guy i car pool with home to pick up his daughter from school, so i said screw it we'll through the dirt on a tarp and put it back on when were done cause the guy who owns the trailer wants to keep the dirt so over friday night and all day saturday it rained. and by the time we left sunday morning it was heavy *** mud.
the trailer was just the right size for my truck, it use to be an old camper so it has an heavy frame, so it by itself was decently heavy, with about 1500 lbs of mud and an 200 pound s10 bed it rode kinda bouncy but with ease, no real strain at all, besides some of the back roads we had to take.
needless to say i was very impressed by the way it handled with minamum squat, no swaying and was allways in controll of it the whole time.
just thought i would tell ya'll about it
did i mention i did all this on the bumber and no hitch (thats the part i was talking about bashing about)

the last time i moved a truck bed on my ranger what i did was go get some 2X4s and i clamped them to the bed rails on my truck then a b uddy helped me load the other bed upside down onto the 2X4s and with more clamps i clamped the cargo bed to the 2X4s too.. i threw one strap around the bed through the wheel wells and drove several hundred miles that way.. its alot easier than using a trailer...
the bumper hitch on aranger is great.. ive towed a motorless truck using that
