Ranger Edge question.
 

Hey guys I’ve owned 3 ford rangers before but now I’m finally in a position to have some fun with one.
im looking for a 02-03, 2 door (regular cab), 4x4 ranger edge. What I want to know is if the 2 door, 4x4 ranger edge had a 4.0L option because all I can find is the 3.0L. Can’t find any info online.

looking at the brochures, I dont think the 4.0 was an option in regular cab, doesn't mean you cant swap one in. you may be better off finding an fx4 or a trailhead which would be more likely to have the 4.0 engine, and would have been more commonly spec'd as a regular cab, also consider a 2 door extended cab. may be an easier truck to find.

You will NOT like the 3.0 engine. Mines had NO hp, climbing any hill was a “bitch” when it was loaded with camping gear. Often times I will get a running start to go up hills. Lol
