Sucks man. At least we can all learn to carry Uninsured motorist coverage on our trucks. It really isn't much more at all, but it really helps with things like this. It is usually $0 deductable too as long as you have the other party's info.

I carry full coverage on my Mustang and Ranger, and Liability/Uninsured on the Cougar. WHen the Cougar is back on the road (whenever the hell that is) it will be upgraded to full coverage as well.

Well I am at a pickle on what to do. The lady can pay me money but if it ends up costing more then I probably won't get it out of her. If I go through insurance, there is a good chance that they will total the truck and I don't know if I necessarily want to do that. Tell me what you guys think.

x3. But they'll only total it if the damage is a certain % of the value of the truck.

just get the insurance to fix it, if they total it, you get to go car shopping on someone else's dime!

Ya, I got to talk to my dad tonight and figure out what we want to do. In a way I want it totaled so I can get a new truck but on the other hand I put so much work into this one I don't want to let it go.
