I guess I didn't mean grounding my antenna to the hood. I'll be grounding the antenna itself to the frame or near a factory ground point. I was just talking about the ground plane in reference to "bonding" the truck. The more ground plane the better!

so my 01 xlt 4x2 has a fiberglass hood? wtf, how did it get a dent when someone jumped on it?

 

98-03 4x2 non-edge hoods are aluminum

 

My '00's is aluminum, corroding, not rusting........

 

Mine is silver, so it must be made of nickel,silver,aluminum or stainless steel.
