Oh come on, I was just playing around. I have seen quite a few Mazda's without fog lamps but I was still just kidding around.
See if you would have put up the high end Mazda B 4x4 against an FX4 we wouldn't be having this discussion.

^^^^ With that color I like Mazda better. I don't like the "I have to be the center of attention" grill that the Ranger has. I also think that 03 was the best looking year for the Ranger.

^the S-10 / Hombre reply up there is such a stupid comeback. RF is a "Ranger and B-Series enthusiest site". Hence the reason my Mazda is 90% Ford. Dumb analogy.

Never said a Ranger was ugly, just said they are more common. It's like a Civic, everybody has one. I like driving a B-Series bc it's different. Just my $.02 though. And again, I never, ever, put down the Ranger.

My view on the whole ordeal
Mazda Pros:
Nice flare side bed (Now a Ford Ranger STX bed)
Black trim around the door window and x-cab window
Different fender flares
Nice lower valence
Speedometer has orange needles and some have a special gray surround (This was before the FX4 gauges)
Cons
Small headlamps (If the headlamps were larger the grill might not seem so awkward.)
Funky Grille

if i was an s10 man id drive one, like i said before i went with the b cause it was nicer than the rangers i had test drove till then ... hell the reason i went ranger instead of s10 is cause heard the s10 4cyl is nothin but probs
how so? its the same thing the hombre was made by chev for isuzu just like the 94 and newer bseries were made by ford for mazda.
thats only 01+ bseries, the older ones have the same cluster as the ranger (not sure if any of the b's came without a tach though)

Because the Mazda equivalent from GM is the Sonoma by GMC. The Hombre was the offspring that was never supposed to be born.

^Good point Roach, but not the same. That's a GMC Canyon, a Chevy Colorado, and an Izuzu I-370. Not the same as the pre 2003 years which we seem to be talking about. But a very solid point, as to where if we were talking about recent model years, you would be 100% correct.

LOL, I know I was thinking the same damn thing. Make's no sense, I looked it up, a fully loaded Izuzu I-370 is $28k! TWENTY EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS for an Izuzu pickup.

Its pretty biased here, i used to have a ranger and no one batted an eye, with my Mazda i have had honestly atleast a 1/2 dozen strangers come and ask me about my truck, and i have only had it since march.
I think the mazda wins in the looks department anyday... we just have alot more ranger owners voting in this pole

the mazda truck is the cheaper version of the ranger. the ranger will always out sell Mazda in the U.S. and Canada.
