ranger overhall

About a month ago, i crashed my 07 ford ranger FX4. the insurance company is fixing everything so i fugured that this would be the best time to improve on its offroad abilities as well as looks. im sporting 31s but would like 33s, without a lift. what are the best products out there as well as the best way of doing this. thanks

Sorry about your truck. I don't understand what your question is. You want to know how to improve it's offroad abilities? Or you want to know how to fit 33's without a lift?

Welcome to the site BTW.

a lift wont hurt your articulation at all if you keep the same springs and if you get different springs (like some 63" chevs) then it will improve it and lift it at the same time.

^ that's true, and you should be able to fit 33" with a 3" bodylift and torsion bar crank.

if you want to keep it stock and want to wheel without rubbing you should crank the torsion bars a bit and put 32x11.5's, 33x10.5 will work but be prepared to rub. i have 32x11.5 on my 07 and they look perfect, 33 might look to stuffed

If you stuff bigger tires without lifting you'd cut into your room to flex and therefore be worse offroad... I'd lift first.

Overhaul. O-v-e-r-h-a-u-l.

Ya you can do a bodylift yourself or with the help of a friend. $213 for the kit that includes pretty much everything you need. Even comes with instructions.

There's a wealth of information on ranger body lifts on this site, just search. Search torsion bar crank too, you might wanna do that, it's free. Body lift will give you 3" extra clearance for tires and a torsion bar crank will give you +/- 2" in the front. Should be lots of room for 33's. This is what I'm planning to do in the spring.
