You should have a hard metal line that is the high pressure line look for the rubber line.
This is from my 87 ranger your's should be the same the line in the back of the pump is the return line.
Rember when replacing the fluid have a friend turn the steering wheel lock to lock to replace all the fluid.
DO NOT LET THE PUMP RUN DRY WHILE DOING THIS!
