Ranger vs Ram
Ranger vs Ram
there is this big open field by my house, and last night we got 2 feet of snow, yes two feet.
So in the morning i was in my Ram, and i went to drive through this place, and in 4x4 i could not get through, so i backed out and gave up.
Then later that day i was in my Ranger, and decided to try it, so i put her in 4x4, and i just went right through, barely hitting the gas, but giving enough so the snow didn't stop me.
Love my Ranger.

At least he had a decent story. Unlike IndianScout's endless "pIcTuReS oF mEh MuDDen!1!1!11" and he has 2 pics of him in a field on a hill. This one at least sounded like fun.
There was, but it was more of a story. lol
I don't believe for a second that his Ranger snow wheeled where the Ram couldn't
Are you guys serious? The big rams get stuck lots of places that a Ranger can go. They weight WAY too much... Ram 1500 4x4 weighs 5,248lbs with 7.7" ground clearance and a Ram 2500 4x4 weighs 6450lbs with 7.7" ground clearance. The b4000 is 3,662 with 7.9" clearance.
Sure they have more power but if the Ranger has enough to spin the tires more power isn't going to help but 1600 or 2800 less lbs sure does :)
My buddy has a ram2500 diesel and he could tow a house with it but it sucks off roading... 6400lbs sure does sink fast :(

Ranger's don't weigh anything, that's why they are such good off roading vehicles. I'v seen rangers go places full size trucks wouldn't even dream off going. Snow or Mud. They drift and have better floatation, and they don't sink like full size trucks do. I believe you man, good story, that kind of stuff happens all the time between full sizes and quarter tons.
Maybe it's just the offroading experiences I've had with my buddies, I see the smaller trucks stuck more than full size.
But I guess it does vary situation to situation.
None of us were there to actually verify every single variable, all we have to go by is his word

That's what I'm saying, I'm not saying it's completely true. But I'm going with what he said cause I don't see why he would just lie. Plus it makes sense.
Iv done a lot of offraoding and been around it my whole life. Smaller trucks tend to whip bigger trucks *** when it comes to things like this. Not all the time. But most

Off road stories = Fishing stories. All things might not be factual but it makes one hell of a story
That said. Full size trucks do sink way faster than a small size truck like a Ranger. Also long wheel bases make them like limos on a trail
Ranger > Full Size Most of the time anyway

i still feel that a ram should be able to go much further through the snow. if both trucks are stock (dont know specs) then i would say for sure the ram would go further based on power and tire size
and for the record, my old ranger was far better in the snow than my f150.
Dodge rams are popping up everywhere around me.. WTF are the giving them away or what?
eveyone seems really cocky about having one too I don't get it. Ever since Fiat took over it seems like everyone believes they are gods gift to the world. I don't get it.
