RBV General Question

I'm looking for the specs on the expo rear glass window struts. I know they're approx 16.875" Extended length and about 10.25" compressed, but what I really wanna know is what is the lb rating? I'm looking around to get some new shocks for the toolbox, replacements for the ones I just put in my box. After I did the mounts, I went and grabbed some junkyard shocks. And I bet all of them have 100k miles on the expo's or a good 10+ years old so they're worn out.

With the weight of the sockets on the lid and being they're in the middle they act as a forward and downward force on the lid, so I need something that's relatively heavy-duty.

I've found lots of results so far, 25lb, 30lb, 35lb, 40lb, 60lb, and some extreme duty ones at 120lb.... All those are 17" shocks and have different mounts on the strut than the expo mounts, but that's not hard to change for me.

Need some input on this guys!

don't know the rating but have you looked into explorer hood shocks, I would think they would be pretty heavy duty

I'm thinkin about just going with some like 50-60lb rated struts.... If worse comes to worse, I could get the 120lb ones, Could damn near push a 35" tire haha. I think it could easily push the toolbox lid up. lol
