Real truckers know...

all you need is a Ford Ranger and a lead foot!

Hauled a skid loader the last weekend with my car hauler.

Hauled 6400 pounds of bricks, total weight is over 8k.

The rocks we removed with the skid loader were way heavier than that load of bricks, had to be at least a total weight of 9,000 pounds. Sorry, no pics on that. I was tired at that point.

I would jump on the on ramp and floor it. It would be the next exit before I was up to 65 mph. It would hold 65 very well once it got there. I used a Reese WD hitch and have trailer brakes. Sure miss my Equilizer hitch! I want to upgrade to a Max Brake controller, but this works for now.

Truck is bone stock save for a Powertrax No slip out back and Duratrac E load range tires. O yea, Amsoil oils from front to back.

Still kicking after 137,000 miles, still surprises me everyday.

With that much weight I was just trying to keep the axles under the truck!

Heat kills the trans fluid, which in turn destroys the transmission. I run Amsoil, which shouldn't break down from heat.

No need for airbags. Of course it'll sit low, it has a metric **** ton of tongue weight.

how was your braking..you can pull a whole bunch of weight..but stopping is usually why the limitations are what they are.

It stopped. I have trailer brakes. The amps were sure cranked up to stop it, but it stopped in a timely fashion. Bigger issue were the trailer tires, which weren't rated for some of the load.
