My neighborhood had a lot of break in's by kids walking into the neighborhood at night, other people had alarms and the only thing that would happen is the alarm would go off and wake everyone up after the kids already ran away.

What I want to know is that since I wouldn't have to hook that stuff up would it be something I could do myself?
it is all in the sensors you have and how well you have them adjusted. i have had mine for a year now and still adjust it, depending on the season. winter it is more sensitive because everything is so stiff. i set all sirens i install up to the max time 180seconds for dei.if you dont have the siren the kids are still gonna be in there this way with the siren they will trip it and run away.
