Why is it stupid? There are a lot of thunderstorms down here, I don't want an annoying alarm going off all the time in the morning and at night. Plus I don't want the alarm to go off and have the person run away to continue doing other cars without getting caught. My neighborhood had a lot of break in's by kids walking into the neighborhood at night, other people had alarms and the only thing that would happen is the alarm would go off and wake everyone up after the kids already ran away.

What I want to know is that since I wouldn't have to hook that stuff up would it be something I could do myself?
