wow.... 20k for the ranger? how much for the F-150???
I know I'm most likely in the minority but unless you have to do some serious towing/hauling.... what would be the point?
And your ranger is one of the tops looks wise on the site.
Sad to see it go, but in the end if you need the size of an F-250 then do it.
Good luck with your decision.

I'll talk you out of it.
You have the most kick *** Ranger I have ever seen. The custom from bumper, the cap with all the accessories I want, and the lift is perfect. The interior electronics are also just the icing on the cake. Letting anybody else with no appreciation for what you have put into it, and allowing another photographer to take pictures of it would be a sin, and therefore, not good.
While a full size is definitely a nice option for a lot of folks, do you absolutely NEED it? Do you have to have the full four doors? The extra room between you and your passengers? While it sounds all fine and dandy, think of the gas prices. Sure, you may be seeing about the same MPG, but filling up that truck is going to cost you $20 more at the pump when gas goes back up. I can guarantee that.
Not to mention that with the 5.4, your towing capabilities are not even up to par with....well, anything. A 5.4 in a F150 could probably tow at highway speeds better then a Super Duty with a 5.4.
$20,000 is a GREAT price for your truck, but deep down, is it really only worth that much to you?

WOW! Love the responses folks... thank you. First, the Diesel is an additional $6895.00... holy paycheck, Batman! Second, this all started because of all those nights when Patti and I were leaving Sandy Neck Beach and driving by all those Superdutys (and full size Chevys and Dodges) with their slide in campers. Yeah, those that were going to be spending the entire weekend on the beach instead of driving home. Patti asked one evening what it would take to get one of those so we could stay. That's really the only reason I looked.
The State Beach laws here in MA, state that you have to have a fully self-contained camper with basic bathroom facilities. They make a slide-in for the Ranger/Tacoma type trucks but they're extremely cramped and have no bathroom. The price on the Superduty will probably eventually turn me away and the work that's gone into the Ranger can't ever be reimbursed. I think we all know that before we start doing what we do to these trucks of ours though. Thanks again to everyone for the support and advice... you'll be the first to know if/when there's a change!

Bathroom...
No, you need bathroom facilities too... "slide in" is the way to go. Ford is doing a search for me tomorrow to see if they can locate a Super Duty with the configuration I'm looking for - if they find it and the prices are right ??? We'll see...

20k is a crazy price to be offered for the Ranger and that would make a fantastic down payment on the F250, but really...do you need a truck that big to drive every day?
The Ranger is fun, practical and economical. You've put a lot of work into it, but really, is it worth 20k to put towards a new truck that you're still going to make payments on?
Ranger FTW.

i wouldnt bother getting ant brand new SD...the 6.4L powerstoke only gets like between 10 n 12 mpg cuz of the twin turbos...and the 5.4L gasser will only get 14-18 because it has to get so much weight rolling...I'de stick wit your ranger...its absolutely drop dead gorgeous PERIOD(unless you find an older one with the 7.3PSD that you like)
