Hello, recently my 2002 Mazda b4000's rear doors have been acting strange. Everytime I open the rear doors, the open door light comes on and doesn't turn off for about 3 minutes, even when the doors are closed. This gets very annoying because also the light in the cab comes on and makes it extremely difficult to drive at night. Also one day I'm worried the light will stay on and drain my battery. I have no expire nice with door electricals but am quite mechanically knowledgable. Could anyone help me out please!!!

 

Spray the latch mechanism with WD-40, seems to work for the front door locks,and the door ajar light.

 

I have a similar problem, but it's when I hit bumps, the door ajar light will turn on, turn off, over and over. WD40 on the front latches didn't help, think I'm going to have to pull the door panels off the back doors and see if silicone lube or WD40 on the rear door latches will sort it out
