Rangers are safe.
Today I was on shift at my fire station and at about 8:00 a.m. we get toned to a roll over.
We arrive to a late 90's Ford Ranger 4x4 flipped upside down on its roof. The guy driving had gotten out with no problems what so ever.
I am not sure of the speed of the vehicle but, it was fast enough to roll his truck off the side of the road, down an embankment about 20 yards.
The roof had no collpased much which is great. The A and B pillars were not compromised, etc... The passenger side door opened and thats how the guy got out.
Overall the truck was in decent shape for just being rolled.
The Sheriff on scene told us that he could not get the key out. I walked to the car, got inside it and pulled the key right out. The Sheriff asked how I did that and I said, I own a Ranger.... and that on alot of Fords they have a lever infront of the key that you have to press to release the key.
I was glad to be a Ranger owner today.
