Robertson screws...?

Robertson screws...?
I was just reading an article about Robertson screws. I didn't know they're uncommon outside of Canada. I also didn't know that they were on model T's. And I learned that ford wanted to license them but when Robertson, the inventor (and a Canadian), wouldn't, ford got screws from a man named Phillips.
Having learned all this and contemplating my past experiences with both I have reached this conclusion... I hate Phillips screws. If Robertson had licensed his screws to ford they would be dominant. I do wonder why they're supposedly a rarity outside of Canada, seeing as they are immeasurably better than slot or Phillips?

Yep Square drive screws
Very uncommon in the states they are starting to make a come back... I love them personally no "cam out" unlike standard or Philips damn near 99% always work flawlessly
On the they where used on Model T comment.
They where ONLY used on Canadian Built Model T & A's, our 1930 Model A is a Canadian model and during out restoration we had to go to the Home Depot all the time for Square Drive....

That's crazy! What would you do if someone said "hand me a #2 Robertson"?
They're a square hole in the screwhead. They work great because the screwdriver centers itself in the hole and will stay there by itself sticking out of a wall. I can't imagine using Phillips for hanging drywall or stuff like that what a pita!

for my job i use all phillips robertson and slot or flat head how ever you wanna say it hah. but i deffinitly prefur robertson. phillips arent that bad we do drywal and stuff so im use to them but ya. hah. i heard that the robertson isnt used too much outside of good ol' canada
