Winch is WORKING!!!!
Finally figured out it was the remote the whole time!! After I've taken this thing off and on and rechecked everything numerous times thinking it was something I did it was the damn remote.
But now I have an extra solenoid and plug thanks to Smittybilt.
IT'S GOT ME SO PUMPED!!! I'M READY TO DO SOME WHEELING!!!
I think this was my first winch test.
Just thought I'd share.

If you don't have anything good to say then don't say anything. That's like me saying I hope somebody punches you in your yankee mouth! I might feel that way but it doesn't need to be said.

Tree saver for sure! No need to screw up some trees and give the greenies more ammo. Plus on heavily used trails it looks bad when every tree near each obstacle has lines cut through it.
Here is the only pic I have showing my tree saver strap. I was testing my winch and cleaning up in the pic.

Nice man, truck looks great with it on there. Just my $.02, keep a heavy towel or something around to throw over the cable - especially if you are in a spot where you need to be winching with the wheels turned like that. I watched a cable snap at the hook winching a tractor out of the mud the other day, and there was a carheart jacket over the cable. The thing snapped under full load and fell practically straight to the ground...sold me on throwing something over the line for good.
Go get stuck! :)
