The slots actually help clean the pad surface so you get even braking.

I dont know when off roading became driving through mud, but for all the offroading I have done in the snow/desert hard pack/sand/dirt I have never had one issue of anything getting packed into the holes.

Personally, these are well worth their money, and MY ranger saw ALOT of benefit other than looks by installing these.

Like I said before, I tow a 16 foot trailer and up until recently I had 33's. I noticed a HUGE improvement with the new brakes and can now control the braking without thinking about it, before I had to make sure I always had more than enough room to stop.

I have had no problems.

They clean out? Wouldn't the cooling fins of the stock rotors get packed with mud and cause the stock rotors to overheat?

I have warped the stock rotors twice. I have had no warping issues with these and also no fading while coming down a long mountain with my slotted rotors.

I've ran with Brembo blank rotors and currently have Hawk Ceramic on. The ceramic's work well, as well as semi-metallic, but actually have more, bad dust. I have had Hawk semi-metallic also and they are an improvement over stock.
