Should i buy it?

So there is this 77 f-150 thats been sitting a mile from my house he wants 750$ for it but said he would take 400$. Its got the d-44/9in im not sure on tranny/t-case theres no motor and the wiring harness is all stripped out but for 400 bucks i dont think its a bad buy considering i could get that much for just the axles around here. This would be my trail rig i would do extended RA's 6 in cage coils inborded chevys in the rear with a big old shackle prollay a 390 for the motor depending on the tranny in it now but i can just get a new trans so no big deal anyways.
What do you guys think opinions please? And 400 bucks is a lot of money to me considering im 16 and make 6.75 an hour and only can get 18 hrs a week.

I'd pass on it unless you buy it just to resell the parts and make a little money off of it.

Don't do a big 'ol shackle to lift it that's so freaking ghetto. Buy some springs they aint that expensive. you could run 12-14 inches of lift on that thing all spring and run 38's or 39.5's. It would be a sick trail ride. Why not go with a 460 for the motor?

Now you could build a 427cobrajet run glass packs with true dual 3.5 inch stacks, and set her up on some 38 ground hawgs. Oh boy I'm going back down memory lane again....Damn you

You just described my dad's truck in your last sentence i think im gonna get it might as well and from what i see the cab and front clip are in pretty good shape for a 32 year old truck bed is starting to get bad but i would flat bed it anyways and im not running mud just local trails and two tracks by our cabin up north and our 20 acres i can tear up ill run the cheapest 35 i can find for a tire and would keep the dana 44 up front. and springs cost money shackles can be made.
