Dang, someone hit my truck :o(
I was at the gym awhile ago, and some people came in asked if anyone owned a silver Ford Ranger....I was afraid of what was coming. I said I did, and one woman said, "You're blocking someone in". *Whew, a moment of relief* Then another one immediately said, "Someone backed into your truck". Ugh. Visions of the whole side and/or fender/door mashed in danced in my head. I got a little irate, and then felt bad about throwing a fit afterwards...but I just don't get it. It's a truck. It was a large, stationary object. How hard is it to see? Do people just tend to back up and not look to see what's behind them until they hit something? I'm kind of **** about my "stuff". I tend to take really good care of the stuff I pay for w/ my hard earned money, then people come along and trash it. I usually park as far from other vehicles as I can, but this time I didn't. I'm glad they came in and let me know they hit it, or I would have been a whole bunch more upset. It scratched/dented the right rear wheel opening, just on the lip, and scratched up the right rear wheel. I don't know how hard they hit it because I was inside, but I didn't notice any alignment/tracking issues, so hopefully everything is alright there. It could have been alot worse, but it's the first ding in the truck. The Dodge Stratus was in a lot worse shape than my truck too. It mashed the whole right rear of the bumper cover in pretty deep.
I know it's nothing serious in the big scheme of things, but I had to vent somewhere, and I figured you guys would understand.

I know what that is like. The day of my graduation party my dad and I went into a Kroger for no joke 2 minutes and I usually park far away but my dad and I just ran inside for ice. He warned me to park out but us young people know more than our parents and I told him no because I was in a hurry. Well when we came out my fenders over my left tires were scatched up. So needles to say im the farthest one in parking lots now. lol

Im seeing more and more stupid stuff happening on the roads now. I've got like 6 door dings on my drivers do, but half of them are minor and hard to see unless you look down the side.
About a week ago, while taking a break during the morning at school, this kid was running to his car, and I happened to be right there near him, and without looking, he just backed right into a truck parked behind him...he got out and looked at it, and said it looked fine, and told me not to tell anyone, and im like ??? and there was like 10 other people that saw it too so yea. Someone that saw it told the guy that owns the truck and called the cops, and you know the rest.

Yea that does suck man. I usually do the same thing, park far away. My friends give me guff over it, but its nice to feel better about my vehicle not being able to be hit as easy.
