Safety Glasses

Let us not forget to use our safety glasses when we should. I was sharpening up some scissors with my dremel when my neighbor came by. I had my prescription safety glasses on (I wear glasses unfortunately) and he tells me that they are butt-ugly! I tell him they look better than wearing a patch over where my eye used to be.

I love all the help on here and one day when I get a full-time job I want to change out my seats, front bumper and possibly my hood. I have looked at the threads and now know that I can do it myself and save some money!

It feels good being able to do things for yourself.

and YES, keep the safety glasses on. I have to wear them every day at work.

Even with a full grinding shield, AND safety glasses...I still sometimes get stuff in my eyes from grinding. I can only imagine how fast I would go blind without safety glasses on.

What kind of safety glasses are those of you who wear prescription glasses wearing? Besides prescription safety glasses I mean...

I'd like to find something decent that'll go over my glasses just to keep a pair or two by the bench grinder and different places.

Ive seen the super big glasses that can go over prescription glasses.

But I have also seen the small plastic pieces that fit onto the sides of prescription glasses.

I just lost my favorite pair.
My issue is finding ones that won't give me a headache and I don't wear glasses.
Can't remember where I bought this last pair.

I think you are using the safety glasses in the wrong spot there.

I learned the hard way when I did some pipe soldiering and got some hot flux to the face.

My sunglasses are actually safety glasses. I'm wearing them right now lol. That way I almost always have them with me. Just look at the dimples or marks on the lenses of your favorite pair next time you get them out. That could have been crap in your eyes.

Here... Found them at crappy tire

I wear some Stihl brand Gridiron glasses. They are safety sun glasses but the tint is light enough you can see inside.

I'm horrible at wearing my safety glasses, I have like 4 really nice pairs of Snap-On ones. i kept losing them at the Ford Dealer, but when i moved i found them all somehow. But they hangout in my roll-cart most days. I wear a welding helmet most times anyways.
