School me on offsets plz

My stepdad was talking about selling his truck, so I offered to buy it off him. It is a 96(ish) 4cyl, 2wd, 5 speed. I want it to be low. Right now I'm thinking bags would be the way to go. But I don't know what offset would get me what I am looking for.
This is what I have to work with

I want to go with a 16, 17, or 18x10 steelie and want a good amount of poke. Pics of lowered rangers and what offset you are running would be much appreciated.

I want this truck for a winter driver/ dirt bike hauler. This is what I am driving now.

Cool idea, a poked out bagged minitruck. Do you want to trash your fenders? Go ahead, buy some deep dish 18x10s.

I run a 30mm offset, it tucks.

I want to keep the fenders, most likely they will get rolled. I was thinking 18x10 with a 0et would sit about right but my friend said to make them stick out more than that.

I think you should not go for the lower height trucks... better to go for the general size...that looks good...

Vince to each thier own, the front camber is going to bring the front wheels in alot. So you way want more dish, so it will sit fat.

Yes I am a slutty little *****, you guys are something else.
