It is hard for someone on the other side of your screen to make a call for you on replacement of your seat covers.

A lot of us here on Ranger-Forums really like our truck and an outlay of cash that improves the truck's appearance wouldn't be a problem, we just find a way; not saying you should or not !

I spent the cash awhile back got what I wanted and wham bam new seats... YOU need to determine just what you want, what the cost will mean to you, are new seat cover the right thing or just a JY set... cleaned up some ! Step back, do you plan on keeping this truck for a long time, do you want a look that you can have people think is a good look, just how far are you willing to go ?

I agree with you, if you are not planning on keeping the truck or the truck doesn't hold a good place in your life, or is it just a plain old money thing, then you need to think on spending the cash just for seat covers, as I said you need to justify the move not us.

To me the four hundred plus, seems high, but Terry's work is good and you get what you pay for, but to a lot of people that amount will be too much.

As Bob of I mentioned look around your area, just maybe there is person that can handle the job for less and repair what you have.

If I got it right from the start, you don't need it done tomorrow and can look around the JY's, see what is out there, and keep looking on the Web and Craig's List, something will pop up, it always does !

Good Luck with this task ahead of you, when you are done it will be your way and that's that !

Thanks for the thoughts.

This is a tough one for me, fortunately it's more about justification than affording - i like my truck, i don't have any intent to sell it, i want/have it for occasional use and it's practicality due to having a bed.

Now it's not perfect, and given the choice, i would have taken a 4x4, but it's fine, it'll work.

Now as it's an occasional use vehicle and an extra one at that, i really shouldn't be spending too much on things that aren't broken. Now i realise that the seat is clearly "broken", but it's really more of a bugbear than anything, i don't like it being split open either :(

Yes, no rush here (see above) i asked for a quote to have it repaired, i'll see if that's possible or worth it - otherwise maybe the local JY's don't try and scalp for some intact seats?

I think the admittedly awesome looking covers are going to be the most expensive option, but we'll see.

Thanks.
