valance removal?

valance removal?

I want to get a mean offroad look for the front of my truck so im thinkin about takin off the valance and puttin some KC's on the bumper probabaly 4. has any one had any problems with removing the valance like broken radiators etc.? and if any one has pics of their front ends that would be helpful

how did you make that skid plate looks pretty sick i want to make one but i dont have a welder

The skid plate is stock.

For skid plates......junkyards or ebay are pretty much your only options. ebay very seldomly has them....but occasionally pop up. There's a thread here FMD made that gave all the search criteria to search for...cuz there's so many different names for these things.



I don't know if your the one that pm'd me about running no valence...but i've have had no problems. I don't have that lower radiator gaurd thing either. I've been scared...thinking something might fly and hit the rad....but nothing. I've been driving valence-less for more than 2 years.

i to drive with no lower valence...not by choice necessarily but now i do after it has fallen off somewhere along the way?....you would be just fine running without it. Many of my friends have said my truck now looks more intimidating or tough

I ran with no valence for awhile, and no skid plate

the 01-05 valence doesn't protect much, except for large objects. I ripped my valence off accouple times off roading, they arent the best in the world




then again, i had a 3in body lift and 3 in suspension list at that time, might be why i never hit anything

would the removal of the valance look odd if you've have a brushguard?
