r12 Air Conditioning is not working, help
I own a 1984 Ford Ranger that i am fixing up and now i am on the A/C
It is r12 and OEM
It blows air but it just is not cold
I have 0 experience on A/C so I am hoping someone can give me some advice if you find the time!
I do not want to pay anyone for work hence why I am doing it myself
I would like to keep it OEM and not change it to 134a but if yall think it would be better otherwise I will change my mind
I do not know where to start, how do I check for leaks? How do I know if it is just low on r12?
Should I just buy a r12 can and try that first? (recharging)
any advice is much appreciated!

Article here on using Red Tek R-12a, it's suppose to be compatible with R-12 systems but Legal to use: https://comancheclub.com/topic/50780...harge-results/
Never tried myself, so maybe read a bit more on this product
The conversion to R-134a is not all that complicated but will cost about $100 for DYI, $200 for an AC shop to do it, ASSUMING no leaks, older systems often need condenser replaced because it leaks and besides the compressor, its one of the more expensive parts
