Wow, just in time. Last weekend I finished installing a Rough Country 4" kit in my 1994 Mazda B4000. And damn - youre right up the road too....

On top of getting the kit, be sure to get a pair of replacement shock studs. I can almost guarantee you'll shear off your front ones. Seems to be a common problem with rangers/explorers.

If you come up with any problems or have any questions, gimme a shout, I can more or less walk ya through it.

Its a pretty simple lift, with few main parts:

1. Radius arm drop brackets: The stock ones are riveted in. For this I used a cutting torch then a center punch to pop them in. But a grinder would work too.

2. Passenger side axle drop bracket. The one is pretty simple, its just a large plate. Get the bolts out and bolt the new one in.

3. Driver side axle drop bracket. Pretty much the same as the passenger, just a different setup.

4. Shocks are easy - just be ready to put in a new stud. I ended up taking the entire radius arm off, cut a new hole with a cutting torch, then bolted the new studs on. Id suggest you pop out the spare tire; itll make the driver side rear shock a lot easier. If you're up for taking your muffler out, itll make the passenger side pretty easy.

5. Brake lines: I put new ones in front - theyre easy (connection just above the spring mount), but mine were pretty rotted so i ran a new line from the drivers side to the passenger side.

If your 94 is anything like my 94, be ready with a lot of wd40 or PBBlaster.... apparently they dont use anti-seize from the factory. Also, be ready for a rain of rust when you work the rear shocks.

Sounds good, Id like to see it when its set. I have some in-progress pics, but I dont think I have any pictures with it done yet. Maybe tonight I can try to grab some.

That Rough Country kit is known for its ability to punch a hole in your front diff. Be very cautious if you do any sort of wheeling with it.
