Should I trade my truck for this?

So as some of you know I am trying to sell my truck to get a full size. Well today I got an offer for a trade that I'm having trouble deciding on. Take a look and let me know what you think.

i would love to have a truck like that but you need to be asking yourself why this guy would put it up for sale at $16,000 then offer to trade it for a 2002 ranger...

My thoughts exactly, did he say why he wanted to trade?

I did ask him that and he said diesel is too expensive. Yet he's looking to trade for a stock diesel ? I got some more pictures from him, it's is a really clean truck leather interior and all power. Tough call

there has to be a reason he would be asking so much and willing to trade for a truck thats not even comparable in value. diesel is still close to what gas costs and diesel trucks should be getting a little better fuel mileage.

$4.50+/gal for Diesel by this summer and they don’t get better than 22 mpg.

If you have a need for an HD Truck then so e it but if there is no need then it will be wasted.

I'd say go down, check it out, just don't let him rush you into anything. Personally I'd probably go for it, but that's not necessarily saying that's a good decision. :P

I'm gonna pass. He said he needs a newer truck to pull his new boat and wants a diesel. He was really interested in my truck so it just didn't add up. It's a really nice truck but I get the vibe that something isn't right with it

Looks like you already did your homework, but just as an added bit of insight. My dad has owned his 99 Powerstroke since he ordered it in 98. It is an extended cab truck and it's way too cramped in the back.

Just saying

Something must be wrong with the truck... that's the only reason why anyone would trade down like that.

Although the decision has already been made, I'd only do it if you were familiar with diesel trucks. they could be a nightmare and cost you a ton if you had to take it somewhere to get repaired

Yeah I am. My truck between the green ranger and the new on me was a 99 24v cummins. I built the trans, bigger injectors, super B turbo, bully dog with attitude monitor and a air dog 150. Thing ran like a champ and I still don't know why I sold it.
