SIDE MARKERS?
Hey, hows it going? im new to this forum sight and im very confused on a question.
I have a 98 ranger and in the front and in the back it has those ugly yellow/orange lights. i just painted the rear lights with a translucent red paint, and the tinted the whole light. then i was told that every vehicle needs to have orange markers. if this is true, then why does my buddy have a 2007 f150 and his tail lights came all red, stock? am i allowed to paint my front turn signal light red too? or is this illegal? |
I havnt heard any thing about having to have orange markers.. my tail lights are all red. I'm not sure about the red on the front though... I've seen totally clear headlights though..

Thats correct for the front, not the rear. On the front you can run a clear side marker housing but it must have an amber bulb so when you flick on the turn signal or turn on the parking lights, they're amber.
Don't paint your front signals red, you'll get pulled over in no time and get a ticket. |

i actually think that its mandated that front side markers have to be amber and rears have to be red...as pedro already pointed out
