Sliding rear window replacement
I'll take some pics once I get it tinted. I bought a piece of tinted plexi but it was .5" too short. It still functions normally however it does flex so you gotta be careful spraying the hose at it. I'm trying to find a piece of metal edge molding to add some strength to it. I just ran it through the carwash and it didn't seem to leak.
Yes, it does work. I had to drill 2 holes for the latch mechanism and everything works as normal.

Every estimate I got was over $250 to replace the whole window which is why I figured I'd try buying a $12 piece of plexiglass and see what I could do.
Honestly, there's no reason why the slider can't be replaced by itself that I could find. The track at the botom is .5" whereas the track at the top is .75". If you had a piece of glass that was just big enough to allow for .5" to be in the lower track and .25" in the upper track, you could easily snap in a new piece of glass without any problems except that someone could possibly pop it out from the outside.

Perfect measurements for my 1998 Ranger, I ordered a piece of plexi this size from estreetplastics and it was $20.99 shipped. Fits nice and snug, I don't have a latch for it but doesn't slide around without one, stays shut nice and tight. Put in the bottom first, bent it alittle and snapped in the top part. Thanks again! Anyone know where I can get a replacement latch?
