Sluggish
Sluggish
I recently blew a head gasket and used steel seal it fixed the problem but now it runs very sluggish and sounds like it’s missing I replaced the fuel pump and it still does it . It’s a 2001 ranger 3.0 any suggestions
Pull out and clean the spark plugs
See what the tips tell you about each cylinders condition
Head gasket "fix" can foul spark plugs so have a look, its FREE
If a cylinder misfire then you lose 1/6th your power on a V6, 2 cylinders 1/3rd the power
And the 3.0l doesn't have alot of "extra" power to lose
Yes, a vacuum gauge test or compression test would be next step
Vacuum in the intake and/or compression = Power output

Say no more. That’s why I try to keep my cars and trucks manual tranny. Do a compression test, replace the head gasket and possibly the head and obviously fix your cooling system and you’ll be fine.
Dont let let her drive anymore either, two cents.
Slainte!
