No. You will need a tranny built origianlly for 4wd, out of an F150. And your stock tranny will not bolt up to 5.0.

There WAS an advance adaptor that mated the T5 to a 1354/1350 case...but it's no longer in production.

Your stock tranny won't bolt to the 5.0 and for a brief time there was an adapter kit to use the stock tranny and transfer case but the tranny didn't hold up for very long. Neither did the transfer case. The best thing that I was told for the 5.0 swap was to find the same year explorer as your truck and use it for a parts donor. According to your profile the 302 will bolt right in your 1994 ranger and all you really have to is change the transmission to a T5 and get the transfer case from a 1994 F150 and it will bolt right in. You also will have to get the drive shafts shortend to fit that smaller wheel base. your local machine shop will do that.

the only t-5 a transfer case will bolt to is an S-10 t-5 which will not bolt to your motor. if it is for mainly street use, use a M5OD-R2, if it is for wheeling, or creeper gear is desired, use a ZF-5 Speed

Yes. Just get the same year F150 and you should have no problems at all. the wiring is pretty much the same diagram so you should be fine.

Use an OBDII f-150 for your donor, so that narrows it to a 96 F-150 or 96-97 F-250, 350

That way youll be mass air not speed density *gag*

I hate to burst your bubble dude but everyone in here that has done the 5.0 swap in the ranger has said the T5 tranny will bolt to the 5.0 motor. I don't know about the transfer case though. But if he uses the same year F150 he should be able to bolt everything right in with no problems. All he'd have to modify would be the driveshafts. here's a link he might find useful with an entire parts list: www.v8ranger.com . There's even a video/sound clip on the site as well. here's another kool site too: www.mercuranger.com .

I know a t-5 will bolt to a ranger

a t-5 out of an s-10 will not bolt to a 5.0, the bellhousing is different.

I dont beleive a t-5 was ever made with a SBF bellhousing that could accept a t-case.

if your heart is set on a t-5, you could run a divorced t-case but i dont think i t-5 is worth that much trouble

The reason alot of people use the T5 is that they're easy to find and modify and rebuild. Plus they're very affordable and you can get one at your local salvage yard and it's a tough transmission. the only other option you have is to call Tremec tell them what you need and what you're doing and just buy a brand new tranny and ask about a transfer case. Pretty much the T5 is what 95% of people use in a V8 swap on the ranger. The other 5% uses either the C4 or C5 trannys.

Did you chck out the links that I posted for you? If not here they are: www.mercuranger.com or www.v8ranger.com . That is why I'm doing something different with my truck because the 4.6/5.0 swap has been done to death. If you use a serch engine and enter Ford Ranger V8 swap it will pop up at least 100 pages of websites with info.
