ooo i didn't know about Grandamgt.com... another site for me to check out.

I've already got a list of mods to do to the car from GAownersclub... i can't keep anything stock lol

Already had the windows tinted... made the car look a lot sharper in my opinion.

Definitely check out grandamgt.com. My name on there is 03SC/T. I traded my focus in for a 03 gagt coupe with the sc/t package a couple weeks ago and I love this car. But I didn't get rid of the Ranger, I'll have my Ranger 'til it dies.

definitely getting the windows tinted gotta put a new stereo in it because the current one sucks, but thats an expensive project considering all the warning bells and things go through the speakers uhh mostly just cleaning it up and making it look pretty inside and out, i dont plan on doing anything to the engine

What radio did you get in yours? I have the factory Monsoon sound system in mine... CD/Cassete, and XM and it sounds great. I was thinking about upgrading it tho and getting the newer MP3 CD player they had in some of the Grand Am's... or even just waiting and getting the navigation set up out of a pontiac Vibe (i guess its simple plug and play)

i have the factory monsoon set up but the guy that owned it before me destroyed the rear speakers... and i mean destroyed

i think im gonna wait till income tax time and go all out and put an aftermarket stereo with all the extra crap for the warning chimes and steering wheel controls. i gotta be able to listen to my iPod without going through an FM transmitter or modulator

ooo u have the steering wheel controls? Mine doesn't have that... my hand pretty much rests on the shifter at all times anyway, so the radio isn't far. I read somewhere that you need an extra part in order for the radio controls on the steering wheel to work with an Aftermarket radio... i'll see what i can dig up.

Got a lot of compliments on mine. Had a 99 GT for 5 years. Had some issues with it though. Intake gaskets like to leak and the rotors warp all the time only after 5000 miles. Just replace with an after market rotor and that takes care of the brakes. They came out with an updated gasket for the leak but if you take it to the dealer prepare to shell out over 1000 bucks. Also the 3.4 is a knocker on start-up especially when its cold out so don't freak out if you hear it. It will go away when it warms up. First year of any model will have its teething pain though PM me if you want and I can give you a few tips on that car. I was on the grand am forums ever since I bought it.

ya theres like three extra parts i have to pick up to put an aftermarket stereo
in it, the antenna adapter, the warning chime module, and the steering wheel
control module. plus the install kit and wiring harness so thats a good solid
chunk of money ill be shellin out for the head unit alone, not to mention every
speaker in that car is blown or close
