If I had to pay for a new ranger, equally set up the way this 04 is stock I'd be hard pressed not to go for the 150. This very same "paradox" is with the frontier and tacoma. Equipped the way I'd want either of those trucks I could get a new F-150 for around the same price!
My only problem is i need the size of the ranger

that's why I went with the ranger.

over the time of ownership, I'm betting insurance on a 150 is higher than a ranger; so thus overall cost is higher
larger gas tank (f150) with similar mileage (stock) = more money to fill-up tank to full.

only thing good I can think of, for my application, would be f150s have more aftermarket options for goodies.

yea. I'm heavily considering getting a 08 sport. I absolutely love the front end. I believe it's right up there with the 01-03 4x4 front end. Absolutely gorgous. I think i like it more than the 01-03. What with the stx grille, the new style corners, the painted bumper, and the nice beautiful round fog lites. Just gorgeous.
