do this. take off your bed, doors, and hood. Let it sit for 3 days. come back to the truck . put it in reverse down hill and hope you hit the same puddle that you hit when you went up the hill. should reverse your problem. best of luck!!1

Seb_L 07-28-2009 09:53 PM

Dont forget to bring a towel next time so you can dry your wheel asap

2001xlt4d 07-28-2009 09:56 PM

camodown 07-28-2009 10:01 PM

had the same problem about a year ago, just took the spare out and balanced it on my head while I started the truck from the bed with the tire tools. No problems since

Hope you have a sliding glass window or it is really a biatcha

ok ppl are being di**'s so let me clear things up. One wheel pushes the truck it ain't 2 wheel drive. the left tire spun because I hit a soft spot in the hill. My lawnmowers tires spin on that same spot. the LEFT tire spun because it was soft sand and the RIGHT tire had the liquid on it. I looked under the truck and nothing was wet it was all dry. now some of you may be right but it just sounds like the battery is dead again for one and two if it does it again then some please grow some peaches and actually look into it.

For those of you who actually decided to be nice about it thank you.

korey89 07-28-2009 11:18 PM

I read that post like 4 times trying to figure out WTF you are talking about, and I still cant.

so....your LEFT tire spun in sand and the right tire (which didn't spin) is all wet with a clear odorless liquid....and your truck sounds like it has a dead battery.....

is that what you're trying to say?

if so...it means you probably hit a wet spot in the yard and your tire spun and got wet. :tapedshut

AND your battery may be dead or weak just from being a battery (they do wear out you know) and you may have just now noticed it.

no need to get your panties in a twist and start calling people names just because YOU can't figure out whats wrong with YOUR truck and you gave us a piss poor explanation of what the problem was....

HarryTasker 07-28-2009 11:28 PM

You want us to grow some peaches and tell you how to fix your problem. The way you are describing the situation is kind of like this.

You are in your house, the paint is peeling, the blinds are missing, and the water is boiling. But you aren't telling us that the house is on fire.

I mean seriously, what does this mean?

"One wheel pushes the truck it ain't 2 wheel drive." Do you drive a unitruck? Or is it kind of like Demolisher from Transformers Rise of the fallen? Are you saying that you have a 2wd truck with an open rear differential?

As for the fluid, in the back half of your truck you have a gas tank and the rear differential, both fluids in these containers have very noticeable smells.

Is your truck still stuck on the hill?

It very well could be the battery if that died earlier. The back half of your truck could be missing and the engine should still turn on.

It has to be water on the tire.

Gas smells like gas
oil smells like oil
gear oil smells like gear oil
antifreeze smells like antifreeze (and tastes like kool-aid!)
snozberries taste like snozberries
