Yup. 4.6, I believe. and I think even some 5.4's, but I could be wrong. I know definitely 4.6, with all power options, and even ex cab!
Trust me, I looked at a few
I looked at 11 trucks total. From mid size to a super duty. The guys down at that dealer were probably extremely annoyed with me, as I came to them about 4 days total, lol.

I definitely like getting the chance to drive them all to know what I like, Im a ford guy but its nice to get a chance to drive them without dealing with salesman or test drives for that small amount of time, I have put some time behind each wheel of each vehicle, even cars so I know what i like its all on the person. They are all definitely nice it just depends on the individual buying the truck and what they like.
I know in the end of the day its nice to jump in my ranger since i live in the city/big suburb its nice to have a smaller truck vs a fullsize because its easier to drive around town in and I don't have the need to use a fullsize besides when i pull the rhino around and if i need to do that I can use my dads 02 150 supercrew which just sits 80% of the time lol.
It all comes down to the persons wants/needs for a vehicle sure its nice to want a big fullsize but do you really need it for work? I see it pointless to buy a big truck if you dont use it for towing/work on a daily basis or on weekends like beard does.
Thats just my opinion I know it doesnt count that much but prob the most effort and opinion I have put into a post in a while on here.

The manual V8 F-150s were discontinued in 2004, (maybe earlier). The only manual avaliable for several years now was in a V6. With the V6 F-150 no longer in production, there are no manuals. You can still get a manual t-case in a new one though.

If I wasn't a Ranger enthusiast, I wouldn't be here. I also wouldn't keep mine.
I vote you get a full size you like, and keep the Ranger. You don't even have to SAS it, just keep it.

What I have been telling people is that I have been getting the same mileage with my F150 on 35s as both my sport trac and ranger with 33's on them.
05 Sport Trac 4x4 4.0L auto, 4.88's, 33's, xcal 2 tuner, body lift = 14mpg
98 Ranger supercab 4x4 4.0L manual, 3.73's, 33's, body lift= 14mpg
06 F150 4x4 crew cab 5.4L auto, 3.73's, 35's, AEM intake, xcal 2 tuner, 2" leveling kit = 14mpg
Stock to stock the ranger will get slightly better mileage, or atleast it should.
I haven't pulled anything with the F150 yet but I'm sure it will get worse mileage when towing, only because there is more power available. I got a solid 10mpg pulling a loaded down enclosed 6x14 trailer from Oregon to Kentucky.

I think the 2nd one is more appealing. I just sold my ranger. It was a good truck and never spent a day in the shop. It had 32's on it for most of it's life, 4yrs to be exact, and a 3" lift for the last 3. Everything held up even though it was wheeled every now and then. I did, however, replace the u-joints 2 months ago. My son is now 2 and the only vehicle we have to accomodate the family is the wife's Explorer. The latest mod done to the ranger was the carseat mod, which took up the only available seat. I figured it was time to turn the page and sell it. I bought the truck new and had it for 7yrs w/73,500 and some change on it and was able to sell it for $5,000. We said our good-byes on monday and I got an '08 F-150 XLT 2wd super crew. I love the extra room. I am happy with the truck as it fits my needs, accommodating the family and having a functional bed for hauling.
